    CLA45 Transmission hesistant

    Hi guys,

I got my new CLA45 in September. Just finished the running in period!!!

Are the gears really hesitant and take a long time before it goes in gear or is it just mine?

I also have a BMW F80 M3 and when accelerating from a rolling start there is a large delay before the CLA accelerates???

    CLA45 Transmission hesistant

    Par for the course

Edit* thought u were referring to paddle shifting, very slow in comparison to other dct's out there

As for putting in drive there shouldn't be any delay

Should not be so, I have mine run in and now 4300km no hesitation at all, yes small delay from slow start or from standing, after 1 sec hell brakes loose, try sport mode??? or go back to dealer reset TCU.

its normal... its the dual clutch engaging. If you've driven other dual clutch cars, they do the same thing.

easy fix. pedal commander dial it up to max... and floor the pedal at T-1 second from when you want it to go

I've learned to drive this car a little differently from a normal auto. You need to know how quickly you want to accelerate and press/hold the pedal accordingly. The car's electronics will take that input and decide how much throttle to give the engine and how quickly to engage the clutch. You can't just ease into it like a normal automatic and increase the throttle as you go. If you do that, the car will think that you want to lazily pull off and engage the clutch to achieve that goal.

Well it's not that bad ... quicker than some other "manual shifting" modes in other cars ...
