I already saw that. Its a resonator delete WITH an aftermarket Magnaflow muffler, not the stock muffler. Sounds just like a honda, unfortunately. So much for that idea for me...
It wouldnt be as loud as the Magnaflow, but its hard to say wether the raspy honda "bumble bee in a can" sound will still be there. On a 1.6 it would sound like a weedwacker... The sound would not match the look of the car in my opinion.
I think the CLA45 is the only CLA model thats able to pull off the deep-ish sound that is needed to match its look. 2.0 and 1.6 are too small to produce deep tone
Its not REAL bad, but it does resemble a Honda, especially at the end. For a 1.6 its nicer sound than I expected, but I cant help but wonder what else is done to it...
So here it goes, and guys correct me if im wrong.
"A resonator is a piece of tubing that is slightly larger in diameter than the rest of the exhaust pipe. It is usually located after the catalytic converter, and before the muffler. Vehicles can have multiple resonators. They also usually have some sort of sound deadening material inside. The name resonator would lead one to believe it makes the exhaust louder, but it is actually there to reduce drone and make a quieter exhaust tone."
haha, nah but really it is just a metal box that keeps the sound down, on the CLA 45 it is not there.
