Don't sweat it, two weeks after I got the car an old couple on an escalade dented the rear quarter panel, that is now the reason why I don't park near buicks, Cadillacs or GM products, people seem to believe the doors are wings or something. A month ago a rock hit my windshield. In the end is just another car, no one will notice. Just make sure it doesn't rust.
Can you elaborate on the polish method? Do I polish after I let it dry, or is this something I do beforehand? Not sure what M105 and M205 is, nor a blue hex pad. Could really use the help, I also need to repair a rock ding in my front end.
That is a work of art, you put a lot of love in to it. You can see your reflection (literally) on the bottom section of the bumper/hood. Really excellent work.
M105 and M205 a two great cutting compounds from Meguiar's. More here.
For newbies, paint correction is an art. If you dedicate time, a few dollars, and patience you can fix a lot of stuff. Start here to understand what's involved. Read a LOT before you give it a shot.
I'm getting my car inspected today and having a small chip with a very minor ding/dent repaired at the dealer. They have a person come in once a week to do this repair. I will post before and after pics.
