    important run flat tire info!

so, today got a roofing nail in one of my tires. no big deal, i thought. for about 20 bucks ill get it plugged. but no!!!. no one will touch it because of "liability" issues. ive got less than 2000 miles on my car. i call mb. they ask did you get the tire insurance. no i say...after all it is a run flat. so end result. its going to cost me almost $300. to replace the tire. if i knew that they were unrepairable i would have paid extra for tire insurance. oh well. let that be a lesson to me and a warning for you

Save yourself the aggravation and inconvenience of run flats and change them over to conventional tires like most of us on the forum have done. for 1/2 or less the price of 2 run flats, you can get a set of new tires and buy a smile tire kit with air compressor and be happy and merry!

A great reason to replace them. Pull them off and store them, put on some all season tires, and drive the way you want. It will be cheaper than replacing 4 run flats at the end of the lease.

Yup that is the huge drawback of run flats. My coworker had a similar experience.

I had a screw on mine a month ago and I replaced it on the spot with Yokohama, also ordered the spare tire, wheel and jack kit from this forum. Plus compressor too!
