I'll still keep my order for CLA, though C Class' interior looks awesome, but those cars are on different level. What do you think?

I like the CLA exterior better, the interior of the C will be nicer, but that's to be expected in a car costing at least $5K more.

Nice job on the comparison.

I'm driving both a 2014 C class 4-MATIC and a CLA250c.

I think I might have waited for the 2015 C class if the MB site had shown it in October. As most have noted, the CLA250 still looks a bit sportier on the outside but, the C 4-MATIC blows away the CLA250 in handling, engine, ride, acceleration and comfort. It has a more solid feel and has the best "all wheel" response I've ever driven. The steering seems like it can anticipate what you want the car to do and it really handles and feels like a rear-wheel sport suspension.

The 2014 C does look like your grandpa's car but, that's obviously going to change next year.

As far as the cost, the 5K difference can be almost negotiated away this year because of the high demand and lower margin in the CLA250.

If you're not buying until next fall, do yourself a favor and drive both. You may be pleasantly surprised.

Two things:

1. The CLA is so much more aggressive and sexier imo. I would not change at all. I just hope their is an AMG/Sport pkg for the C-Class.

2. The C class has turned mire into an old person car instead of being for young, sporty and fun. <- another of my opinions, which might change when I test drive and see in person.

I'll take mine over the new C class anyday. when they unveiled the new C, I realized just how much the CLA was a preview of the future of MB. the way the screen mounted to the dash for example. it's about to become alot more routine for MB cars. that should silence the 'cheap' comments some professional reviewers made when they first drove the CLA this spring.

When I saw the preview info of the 2015 C class, it seriously threw a wrench in my plans to buy a CLA. I like its looks (though not quite as much as the CLA). The upcoming C class is going to include a lot of good tech that's coming down from the current S class, including the COMAND controller and some of the safety stuff. I was thinking of holding off the CLA purchase and just driving the other new car we'll be buying soon (a more practical, under $28K hatchback from Hyundai or Mazda, probably) until the 2015 C's shipped. But the reports that the first 2015 C class models to ship in late 2014 will be the 4MATIC models, with the RWD versions waiting until calendar year 2015, made me realize that I didn't want to wait a year and a half until I got into a nicer luxury car. Here in California, we don't need 4MATIC, and it would just be an unneeded $3K penalty. So I'm going ahead with the CLA now. At "worst", I can hold onto it for 2-3 years, then buy the C-class model I really want.

Totally agreed, tnegrino. I did the test drive on CLA again yesterday, as I wanted to make sure my decision on CLA is right. I asked the sales about 2015 C Class, same answer on delivery date, ie early 2015. I have been waiting for my CLA for 6 months and another 6 months to go before delivery, I do not want to wait for another 1+ years for C Class. I have decided to stick to my order for CLA and see how it goes in a year or 2.

Don't get me wrong, I do like my CLA250 a lot and I'll wait until the 2015 C class is in the showrooms and I can test drive one before considering a change.

I can't speak on the AMG Series as I haven't driven one.

F.Y.I: There's a pretty accurate review on the CLA250 on the Consumer Reports site. I agree with a lot of what was said but, there are also a few things I don't agree wit as well.
