Well your foot is on the brake right? So its the clutch slamming shut ... may want to do a dealer visit? Cant fix that on your own.

That is correct, you should visit your dealer, ??? only in reverse?? check oil level in gearbox. What is your milage at the moment? did you have recently had a service on the car? Maybe incorrect oil.
    Let us know.

I normally say a prayer before I reverse. God please don't make me a jerk on the road today. . How quickly do you put the car into reverse from the moment you turn on the car?

As soon as engine runs you should be able to put it in reverse, you wil have your feet on the brake so no movement should happen. if you release the brake the hold function will keep the brake applied. only if you touch the gas it will release the brake. Maybe there is a problem in your brake or hold function.

sounds like the TCU solenoids are flakey ... better have the dealer service team look at it ... before you get that dreaded limp home message while flying on the highway

For the 250 7GDCT fluid level is checked via the drain port with car level at around 40C gearbox oil temp.
