    heat stopped working - coolant?

anyone know what could be the cause of this?

i had my coolant flushed and refilled after fender bender, and even topped off a day later.

i started my car up today and it said check coolant level again..

today i was driving in the snow for one hour and the heat went cold, coolant went to 120C (~220F) and then dropped back down to like 207/90-100C... i drove home and now my car is just sitting there...

any reason why my heat went cold?

can you all give best case and worst case scenarios for me

my car passed BOTH service campaigns...

plan on bringing it in on monday

heater valve will not cause it to over heat .
air in the coolant system will and heat wont work. faulty thermostat- bad water pump are other possibility's.
this car must not be driven unless you want to ruin the engine if it over heats again.

I must have missed the part where the OP said its overheating.
The car will overheat within a few miles if the water pump isn't working properly. Maybe a stuck open thermostat?

Problem is that the thermostat reads water temp not air temp. If you lost your water the gauge will not read an over temp if no water in the system
