What you should do is find out what kind of system the car uses stock, either a BOV which vents to atmosphere, or a BPV which recirculates the air back into the system. More than likely, it uses a BPV, to take advantage of the pressurized air, and to prevent the momentary rich lapses when a BOV releases the air.

Thing is, there's two ways to make that "Whoosh" sound with turbo cars. IF the stock system utilizes a BPV, you can either A) Add a short ram intake and replace the stock BPV with an aftermarket BPV, this will significantly increase the noise of the BPV when it recirculates air, easily heard inside the vehicle, not very loud outside the vehicle; or B) Install a BOV, and you will get the very loud vent to atmosphere sound.

However, if the systems uses a BPV stock, I would highly recommend skipping installing a BOV, especially considering these cars have a DCT, and considering the Stock mapping that uses additional fuel and ignition timing to create those "Brapp" noises, adding a BOV that only increases fuel delivery every time the car shifts under boost could have adverse affects on the motor.

Quite simply put, I would find out what system the car uses from the factory and go from there. I would Never put a BOV on a system that uses a BPV stock.

Ok so when I traded my last car in for my cla250 I had to remove all my upgrades from my 2012 VW Gli. When I took my upgraded diverter valve off I realized these cars were more similar than I first thought. The diverter valves look identical for mk6 2.0turbo and Mercedes class 250 turbo. Idk what the turbo and diverter look like on the amg but if it's the same there's a few options that could help with sound and performance of the turbo. I never test fit my valve because I didn't have time.

Any aftermarket valve does NOTHING to help performance of the turbo.. lol In Some cases, the stock unit is made of plastic, and can begin to leak at very high boost pressures. Car comes stock with 26psi, it has a metal valve lol

LOL was going to say something similar but didn't want to be rude :P

In all honesty though, its something more of a tuner car would consider doing, disregarding the negative side effects, you see a lot of it in the Subaru, Mitsubishi and Honda world.

I'm not talking about the valve I'm aware of that. I was talking about the charge pipe. I had a 2012 Gli running 22 psi after stage 2 ecu. I know the cla boosts higher from factory than my VW which went through numerous revisions before the diverter valve audi/VW currently use. The charge pipe could however help with better airflow the bov would be an unnecessary upgrade if the stock unit is metal or same as ur amg45 I agree there.
