    Would you say the mod is actually noticeable? Any sound differences compared to a BOV to the atmosphere?

    Based on all the comments here, I just bit the bullet and purchased one. I'll give an update once it is on the car.

    GFB Australia Diverter Valve.. AMAZING

    To me the turbo related response is more analog less digital as the gfb is progressive while the oem is more open/close type
    Which is good as the induction path suffers less transients ... the “catching and pushing a kid on a swing vs just slapping the swing” thing

    My GFB DV+ arrived last Friday, put it on the car on Sunday. Followed the YouTube video instructions and all went well. Was a very tight squeeze getting it together and into place but no real dramas. I had my brother (who is much more mechanically inclined than myself) do the installation for me. Got a little concerned when he started jimmying pipes and tubes around with his screwdriver to make it fit, but it all ended well thankfully. No error lights or warnings after start up, still all good. Went for a drive not really knowing what to expect and it took a while until I noticed what I think the key difference is; the now linear application of power. I was one of those who noticed the discernible 'lag' between throttle response and turbo engagement (now I better understand the OEM DV with its simplified 'open' or 'closed' states), with the new DV+ installed, it seemed a much more smooth transition from initial throttle input to turbo engagement (was it psychological? I'm still not sure). Given the relative low price and the easy install, for me it falls into the 'shiny trinket' category, did I really need it? Maybe not, but does it look good? Yes, it gives me a sense that the 'lag' is somewhat ameliorated and that is what I wanted. So a 4 stars out of 5 from me.

    Oh good! So I am not imagining its more progressive response
    Yes its a tight fit but I like that ...
    Also I chose the progressive spring variant before installation ... guess you did the same
    Glad it works well for you too ... good inexpensive functional mod

    @Brian
    if you look at the installation manual ... it should note (a) installing the main spring, or (b) not installing it
    doing (a) and using the spring yields the "progressive" valve mode so it does not just slam open or close

    Haha I remember when I installed this way way back. I also remember noticing a more linear/controlled feel to it. I also questioned whether it was psychological haha! Ive been running mine for almost 4 years. I don't even remember how it felt without it lol.
