Just installed on my 2017 CLA250 today. I ran into an issue where I could not get the DV+ to click into the factory solenoid properly. I had to really jam it in and now it's pretty much stuck into it. I can't even pull it apart from the factory solenoid. Did anyone else have this issue installing on their 2017/2018 CLA250?

All seems to be working fine and I just resent the ECU/transmission to get the car to relearn with the DV+ installed.. just wondering how I'm going to remove it when it comes time for servicing as I said it seems pretty much stuck to the solenoid.

It is a nice tight fit to begin with ... you must have hit the luck of the draw in terms of tolerances ... smaller ID on the engine part and larger OD on the DV part
Unless your service group are sticklers you may just leave it in?

Yeah that's what I was thinking too. Took me a while to try get it to finally got together. Seriously had to jam it in.

Not too sure about the service team as to how uptight they are because I haven't had my first service yet.

    Mine is pretty tight too.
But what it needs is a bit of lunch, some twisting and it pop right out nicely.

*but thats what i call good fit thou !

My ride is now more responsive and is able to hold its achieve its boost earlier too. Thanks GFB !

I like the “progressive” nature of the DV instead of the oem on/off valve

Mine is like, really stuck as oppose to really tight hahaha. Like jmc said the factory solenoid ID is too small and the GFB DV+'s ID is too big. I'm wondering whether Mercedes started using newer or revised parts in their 2017 models.

Yeah true that. Just glad it was able to "fit" in the end, and works a real treat.

Can some people shine some light on their overall experience? What you really notice or don't. What I am getting is that at lower speeds its less laggy? Please explain, that feeling. Is it how when in eco, sometimes it revs high but boost is not there compared to when you feel the torque at low speeds and accelerates more briskly without having to rev high.

I did my servicing (in Melbourne dealership) without changing it out. No issue.
