CLA 250 Sport Brake rotor tolerances.

Hey , i'v done some searching that yielded no results.

Does any one the have the minimum tolerances (width) for the brake rotors . I'm doing some maintenance and I found a lip on the rotors. So do I get the lip machined off of do I need new rotors if they are excessively worn.
    Thanks in advance.

The “min” spec should be stamped somewhere on the rotor

I've just replaced the fronts, I was told 2.8mm wear was the tolerance on the rotor.
Not sure that's true, but I would believe the break guy over the dealer.

Wow ... 30 - 2.8 leaves 27.2mm for the front rotors ... that is pushing it past the already too thin 28mm spec when considering the heat absorbing and dissipation of the friction surfaces that would have lost about 14% material volume which then brings in fatigue and crack resistance issues etc etc
I dunno ... my life depends a lot on my brakes so for me 28.0~28.5 is the limit
Still have the originals on my 2014 but sure want to hunt down some lighter hats

10 down to 8.3 so 17% friction disk volume loss
Guess the front bias is quite a bit on the fwd versions
Wish they kept the same thicker and vented rear rotors between the fwd and awd variants but guess the +$2000 and +200lbs had to go somewhere
