I will probably do it when I have the car up for the changeover from my snows to the OEM tires. I will take some pics if anyone wants, or maybe post a video to u-tube.
    Yes pictures please!

Yes, pictures please. I may not make it to May before I need to change the oil in our CLA and haven't bought a filter yet and hadn't looked underneath to see how to access the drain plug?

Accessing the drain plug might be difficult without some planning. If you look at the sides there are "pockets" in the rocker panels that are made to accept inserts on a garage lift, but no obvious structure other than that, to get a regular jack on. I bought two "pucks" I'll call them, that I was able to thread and attach to two medium floor (2 1/4 ton) jacks so I could get the car high enough to get my regular large floor jack in back of the engine on a cross-member where there is apparently a hard rubber point for it. You can find the "pucks" on Amazon. Apparently quite a few European cars use this form of lifting point. Some people use a manual or electric device to suck the oil out of the dip stick tube and find it easier than getting under the car. Since I am planning to change over from winter to the OEM tires at that point anyway I will probably use the drain plug. I verified today that the drain plug is under a plastic panel on the passenger side, held on by 3 - 8 mm-head screws, and the drain plug is 13 mm. It faces front on the center leading edge of the oil pan. The panel it is under slots in the front and pulls off toward the back. Apparently the crush washer is somewhat special and you should get one from the dealer when you get the filter. If you can, mark the drain plug and the shoulder it fits in so you know, with the OEM crush washer, you can get it torqued back in the same spot. I have seen other Mercedes drain plugs in videos on the net being 13 mm heads and torqued to 30 NM or 22 ft/lbs. Will see on mine if the marks line up at that torque level when I do the oil change.

AutohausAZ now stocks filters for the CLA 250 for those of you that are not near a dealer and want to change your own oil. The M-B part # is 270-180-01-09. The "seal ring" for the drain plug is # 007603-014106.

To avoid me giving you incorrect information, call a M-B dealer or AutohausAZ and give them the above part # and have them cross-reference it to see if it will fit both. Let us know what you find out for other members who have the AMG model.

Recommendations on oil extractors? I'm doing mine at 2,500. Don't want original oil in there too long.

What oil weight? Chart in manual is kinda goofy.

My poor experience is on the forum. Good riddance. MB's attempt for my generation: failed with me.
