Colour temp on the Xenons in our CLA

Can someone confirm what the colour temp is for the stock xenon HIDs? My CLA is 2015.

Thinking of getting a 6000K D3S xenons to get a slightly deeper bluish tint.

Stocks are 4300K per the Philips and Osram specs ... and they look it too
If the stocks were 4800 I probably would have left them alone ...

What is the maximum temp of the bulbs legally allowed to be use for daily driving?

    interesting query
typical stock led's are white white so say about 5500k is my guess for those
the 6000~6500 range seems to get bluish purplish etc

would love to hear about how "legal" any color is cuz i've seen quite a range
though 6000K may be a reasonable limit? those 8,9,10k funny lamps dont seem to do much for seeing things

I have the 5500K Morimotos now
When time comes to change again I may give the Osrams a try but those suckers are expensive

I remember doing some research into this a couple years ago and our xenon CLAs (and GLAs) use the OSRAM 66340HBI D3S bulbs which are rated at 4650K color temp and 3200lm of light output.

For the hbi yeah those would be the standard 4300~4600 range
For upgrades or replacements might as well get the cbi bulbs at 6000k
I test drove with one stock 4300 philips and one updated 5500 morimoto ... quite the difference in visibility
