I used 93 for my previous car which was an Altima. There is no way I'm using 87 on a Mercedes.
I was just surprised at what the dealer said!

Fill up with Premium 93 octane and refill at the halfway mark with 89 octane medium grade. Repeat with 93 and alternate from that point on unless you get too far below half full.
In that case just refill with premium and continue the alternate fill-up method. This insures you will always have at least 91 octane in your tank if not better without always having
to pay the premium price and keeping within the engine specs.

It's probably locked. You key fob has a mechanical key inside it which is also the key for your glove box. Try to unlock it.

I would definitely use 87 on Mercedes as long as it is not mine =P

That's what I did on rentals and loaners....

The CLA250 asks for "premium" or a particular Octane #? What about the CLA45?

Oft premium/performance/luxury vehicles ask for "premium" and/or 91-Octane, yet only 89-Octane ("plus") or 93-Octane ("Super") is available in most markets.
