Almost, but not quite perfect advice:

If you pay as you go, it will almost certainly cost more than if you prepay
maybe you get a coupon?). I say, if that is an option for you, do it yourself.
It is easier than you think.

Come to think of it, I never got a coupon offer from the dealer to bring me back in.

Hi guys, new to the forum! Everyone has made very valid but different points which is understandable considering all of our different experiences. I can say that for my Escalade, the package paid for itself! Hands down. I had a ton of oil and engine work done and didn't have a problem with it. Also had the engine mounts covered and some other stuff I can't think of as I type this. Like any insurance you can roll the dice but if and when it breaks, if you don't have the cash and the right mechanic, you're in trouble. So for my CLA I have the warranty. It's $3K for 3 years. I hated buying it but I know that for me to have to source parts, be out of a car while my mechanic is fixing it, dealing with rental cars, and so on, I don't have the time or the ability to deal with it. My biggest caveat is these warranties are covered by the biggest scumbag administrators who actually service them.
IF you have an awesome relationship with your dealer and they are reputable, they will go to bat for you b/c they are your "provider." Otherwise on your own purchasing these warranties, especially from Endurance, you're dead meat bud.
