I'm a newbie on here and learning how it all works. I have a 2016 Base model CLA 250 in need of front pads and rotors. MB wanted my 1st born to do this lol. I am having it done elsewhere. My question is are the base rotors 320x30 and can I switch to cross drilled rotors of same size to help with heat distribution. Thank you in advance for your input.

Rotors that fit

For the front Bosch 25011544 25011544 . the OEM is Zimmerman, JMC will probably chime in and post the SKU.

Rear: Bosch 36011645 QuietCast Rotor
AC Delco, Brembo all have rotors that fit, try Amazon. I am on my 2nd set of Bosch, the first set sucked (warped)
and the fronts were replaced under warranty. I think it is fairly important to not overtorque the lugs and
manually tighten them with a torque wrench. I am not going into detail about how to install it is posted elsewhere on the forum.

The x-drilled topic is controversial. Some vendors claim to have x-drilled rotors for the base line, but elsewhere I have seen the same rotor as
"Sports package only". I could never get a definitive answer as to what are the dimensional differences (if any) between
the rotor for the baseline vs the sports variant.. For brakepads, I am a fan of the autozone dgc for the front. For the rear, they do not make
ceramic pads, so i am using semi metallic there ( also DG) apparently without any ill effect.

Again, the whole topic, parts numbers etc. are posted elsewhere on the forum

Just had my fronts replaced, couldn't stomach the OEM cost from the dealer (at $1200 just for fronts who could?)

Always worry about changing something like this away from OEM . . . but went to a break specialist who put in set of DBA T2 Slotted and TRW Performance Pads to match.

AU$760 installed and to be honest they are same in peddle feel and actually perform tad better in the wet and also with some heat in them when pushing a bit over the OEM.

Could have paid more for a stronger setup, but I'm pretty happy at the result.

I dont recall exactly now, but on this car I expected the rear pads to last 3x longer than the front. I put on the new rear and front pads at the same time, and less than a year later the rears were visibly worn, and
looking much worse than the fronts The Fronts were Autozone DGC ceramics, and those still looked great, barely worn.
I just remember the contrast between the rear and the front pads.
