My wife has a 2015 CLA 250 and the black panel between the top of the windshield and sunroof has bubbled up and began to peel. Has anyone else had this problem and if so any solution besides the 1000 plus dollars Mercedes wants to fix it?

Yea that's exactly what it looks like. I had that same idea so I guess I'll try that and see how it works out thanks.

fyi ... never waxed nor rubbed that section on mine since day 1 ... just dragged a first microfiber cloth soaked with polymer based cleaning solution then second one to dry all by weight of cloth only (like using a shammy)
figured that uv protection coat is like that on the headlamp covers ... they delaminate and peel with typical wash wax cycles
well heres your chance to cover it up with some tougher 3m wrap

Same thing is happening to my '14! Look at the photos below. Same deal? I asked the dealer and this is what they wanted to replace the panel. They said they can't fix it:

Labor $444.00
Parts $697.00 (Panel and glue)
Tax $54.02
Total $1195.02

I was thinking of wet sanding it with 800 grit, then 1500 grit, then 2000grit and finally 3000 grit sandpaper and then applying a clear coat. Thoughts? Let me know how the wrap goes for you or what you decide to do. I'm still weighing my options.

That's the same quote I got. I'm going to take her car this weekend to a local paint shop and see what's the best option. I'll definitely keep you updated on how it works.

This just suddenly started to happen to my 2014 CLA. It’s hard to tell what the cause is. I asked the dealer to give me an estimate on the repair and the SA said it will be covered under warranty. I’m waiting until she finds out that I’m under the extended warranty period and it likely won’t be covered....

I've noticed my '14 starting to have that crackling effect. No bubbles or peeling yet but I'm guessing it's just a matter of when. :(
