2018 CLA (117312) Water leak - left-side Rear Passenger floor area

Hello.
Water leak suddenly appeared about 1 week ago in my 2018 CLA (model-117312), possibly after first heavy rain of Autumn, but not sure yet if definitely linked, or concided with this event?
Some dampness under front passenger floor mats, but most water (up to 2->3cm) appears on left rear side floor area. Daily scooping up of water from floor, only to see it build again next day.
There has been a lot of rain this past week to 10 days.
Cleared up some small debris that had clogged drainage holes, left and right side of engine compartment plastic molding, molding that attaches itself to area adjacent to and below the windscreen.
Poured few jugs of water onto the windscreen after clearing said drainage holes, and no impact on rear passenger (left-side) floor area, water just ran off through engine area to ground.
No evidence of any water coming down inside of windows, or at any door frames. So assuming that's not where water's coming in.
Any suggestions of where else I might consider looking?
Best Regards.

Welcome to the CLA Forum bomurchu:)
a) Check your a/c drain hose*
b) Check Floor Pan plugs
c) Check sunroof tracks
*) There was a NHTSA Recall 20V416 covering this for some units. If you cannot perform the above yourself, see an MB Dealer, not an independent shop.
I had this problem, not in a CLA but turned out to be the rear washer pipe had become detached and was constantly leaking into the footwell. If you have a rear wash check it’s routing through the car.

This is a CLA, not GLA.
no rear hitch right?

Hello again,
Our Car was left overnight (10 hours approximately) in our driveway. Car floor area had almost dried out completely yesterday as it was warm sunny day, car doors left open etc. Heavy rain all night, no ac unit on obviously. 3 to 4cm again at rear left side passenger floor. Does this definitely point to car body seals as opposed to AC unit?
no rear hitch right?
Hello, Car came with no rear hitch. However, a detachanble toe-hitch was installed in July this year. Could this have some connection?
...toe-hitch was installed...
By an MB dealer?

Okay, so you finally clarified a point... it only happens after rain...

definitely most likely the door and window seals are leaky. get a local auto shop to check it out. replacing them should be relatively cheap. Check also for the rear windshield seals.
is the driveway level? if not which way was the car pointed during the rain?
if the seals were the culprit then perhaps you would have heard them sing while driving
that much water coming in ... check the drain tubes - all of them
just cuz a water pour test showed an exit path doesn't mean one isn't clogged and that's all it will take
Have you figured that out?
I'm having a leak problem but on the driver side, somehow over the SAM unit and its getting ridiculous since I dont want to get the whole dashboard out.. it's a pain in the arse so I'm looking to almost every single thing that I can do around that

I have the same problem right now and I don’t know what to do. Did you figure it out?

I am having this same issue with my 2018 CLA. Passenger rear floor is a puddle. we had very heavy rain over the weekend and thats when I noticed. I don't ever go in my back seat so idk if it just started or has been doing this for a while.
this is getting more common
wonder if its only on pano equipped cars?

I dont think so since the pano doesnt have any drain pipes. It's actually sealing itself while it's closed. I tracked everything on mine. The only way the water should get in from there is to have it open and pour around. It'll get to the left pillar but that's pretty much it.

I'm thinking should be the firewall, around the cables or simply the A/C drainage clogged... also something that I dont know where it drains....
