Yesterday I did my first ever dyno power run to get a baseline figure...
Keep in mind that the piggyback ECU was tuned specifically for a 100% stock car without the mods I have.
Impressively, I was able to get to 224 KPA of boost (33psi) which is far beyond what I was expecting. You can see if the 2nd graph that boost comes on strong and early but tapers off. The Tuneshop said that the ECU is purposefully letting off boost likely in an attempt to stay within a certain torque limit. Interestingly enough, the other 3 runs we did were 151kw, 150kw and 140kw. As you can probably guess, this was caused by the intercooler not being able to keep up with the demand and it was simply heatsoaking badly and wasn't able to give us consistent numbers. Which lines up with what TK has been saying all along.

Modlist:
  • Superchips Piggyback ECU
  • GFB DV+ 94358
  • Axleback Exhaust (No muffler or resonator)
  • K&N Intake
Best result was from the 2nd run:
161.4 Kw (216HP)
470 Nm (346.6 ft lbf)

whoa ... this is the m270 right?
~33psi ... as in "psig" or "psia" ? cuz the hp number is puzzling and the torque is quite far out there
typically a stage 1 generic code gives around 250hp/310tq on a strained pull up a hill
though that is with <22psig (or <36.7psia if we reference to 14.7psi or 1 atm)

anyway i ask cuz in my case for recent run ...
before the engine starts my boost is 0psig (1 atm)
then start and idle so drawing a vacuum and it shows a minimum around -11.5psig
and at a wot segment the turbo kicks in and it shows +21.9psig
so if i reference my "a" to -11.5 then i get a raw "33.4psi"

i hope that's what your "33psi" is referring to?
cuz if it really IS 33psig then you have shown a whole nother side of the m270 stock block! :love:

How much whp/hp and torque and boost did you get for stock ?

Good question....
I can't answer whether or not that includes the initial vacuum or not but the staff were definitely impressed seeing 224 KPA come on screen.
Unfortunately I had to sit a little further back away from the screen so I can't say exactly what was going on during the run.
I've emailed the shop to see if they had any more data they could send me, hopefully they do as I'd like to see more of what's going on.

How much whp/hp and torque and boost did you get for stock ?
I need to check that data though i think it was in the 210/260 range right about spec
Though some yahoos were getting quite a bit more lucky dorks

ah okay , I thought MB would underrated it and the actual number would be around 220 at the crank

psia is an acceptable looking unit
kPaa sounds like an insurance ad
guess they figured we would reference to the vacuum floor

yeah makes sense ... cuz that 33psi thing is a freaker geewhiz
but then again overengineering is in their blood

Oh? Dont let the TK bunch fool you ... the fmic will easily allow 979cuft/sec air flow and the updated turbo spins at 667,003rpm for at least 88psi of boost ... plus the flux capacitor is thrown in for free
So 331hp and 357tq at 21psi will be a piece of cake!!

I didn't option the flux capacitor as I found a cheaper solution that allows me to go far enough back in time without needing to spend the extra $ on Turbokit.com's offering.
