Zero-60 times.com, a site I occasionally visit, has test results of our European cousin, the A45 AMG. 0-60 mph in 4.4 and the more important category as far as I'm concerned ,the 1/4 mile 13.1. Keep in mind people, the A45 is 30kg lighter than the CLA 45, so the performance numbers may end up being a tick or two slower. This is a bit disappointing. Given the ridiculous psi of the huge twin scroll turbo and the high hp/tq output of these cars, I was predicting sub 13s in the 1/4. We all should know MB cars carry substantial weight because of the numerous refinement and safety features. I'm fine with that. I just was expecting results in the same low 12 second neighborhood as the C63. I guess that's what 451 NA horsepower gives you.

It's a 4-banger that's boosted, of-course there won't be monstrous top'end & crazy trap-speed.

Getting the purported level of performance from a FWD-engineered luxo-lite sedan w/ an AWD-system that's more or less traction/stability control, is quite impressive (personally speaking). It's a Benz, refinement/comfort will trump boy'racer experience.

Being about as fast as a current Corvette ain't too shabby...

the cla should run 12.6-12.9 stock easily
