My AC worked fine when I arrived at the hand wash at 7:50 AM, but wouldn't work any more when I left at 8:10.

What in the world?

awwww man is this the post warranty blues? ;-)
there may have been a small leak in the refrigerant lines and so over time ...
maybe do a line pressures check?
also depending on the battery condition / hvac system temperature I noticed the cooling does not engage right away

I gave it a few days, since most problems I've had seem to self-correct, but this one required sensor & coolant replacement.

Well it is >5yrs now for our fancy gadgeted machines ... just might have been poor timing or (though unlikely) water incursion somewhere
Which sensor was replaced?
refrigerant pressure sensor

I wonder if they apply some kinda pressure spray to the underpinnings.
