Been after an air intake for a while and got one of these from an 35 amg which is a direct swap and means the air isn't being preheated by the turbo ,so if its good enough for the 35 .Havnt driven it yet but only took 2mins to fit .

At least you can do this in a gen2
Still trying to frankenstein something for a gen1 cuz they dropped that part which uses the other scoop

Yep did a bit of research on part numbers and air box and parts are same so straight swap no frankenstine for me

yeah ... my pieces now are the 45 intake scoop, 250 filter box inlet and hose, some wire, weave cloth, epoxy resin, and a 3d printer ... o_O

Dont hold your air intake breath
The bend radius and air path cross section may put this project in the trash bin ...
Though the shorter ram effect may be beneficial at higher rpm so will keep at it ...
