Have any of you added this as part of a package or a stand alone option?
If so, do you have any pics you can post so I can see where the lights are and what they look like, Im sure they are a nice touch to add to the car! Thanks x

No pictures, but the lights are on the inside of each door handle, in the footwells, under all 4 head rests, and one under the rear view mirror, which shines down to illuminate the cup holders and lower dash. Fun to play with the colors, and there are 5 brightness levels you can set

With this option can the ambient lighting be set to 2 or more different colors at the same time?

I don't think so. You select you color from a color wheel, and I don't know you would select two at once.

what are the 12 different color settings?

I believe white is the lightest, then various shades of yellow, orange, green, blue and purple. Most of the colors on the ROY G BIV scale are represented, plus white.

You change the colors via the display and control knob (I'm sure it's called something else) on the center console. Go to vehicle settings and select ambient light color and use the control knob to scroll through the various colors and select.

all CLAs have ambient lighting but it's all the same orange/amber.

I got my car almost at the end of MY 2014, delivered in August 2014.
I don't have this color options, nor that screen. I keep seeing this on the posts here, from people's photos. Looks like car setting are in the big screen. not on the dashboard like I have. I'm kinda jealous oin that one and hoping that any software update I'll get wil lfix that. will it? someone please say yes? : )
Is there anyone with MY14 seeing the car settings on the nav-audio etc. screen?

ambient lighting package comes on MY15 as a $150 option I believe.

Jealous of future owners.... :crying:

Well at least I can yell "First!" when I see another Pimped out CLA.

pink light? clagirl.. you are such a girl.. hehe

if you are into pretty lights I would imagine the lighter color interior (beige/ash) would show the lights a lot better than black.

multicolor is a nice lil option and it's relatively cheap at only 150 bucks but I personally prefer the stock orange since it matches the rest of the interior and looks a bit more classy. I do agree it's nice to be able to change the color as your mood changes but I'm a pretty boring guy so boring orange works for me :)

The reason I want to see it with the black interior is because that's what I have and I love the black :) I think even just the orange ambient lighting looks amazing in the CLA. It looks great with the black interior. It would just be awesome to be able to switch up the color! And yes I love pink :in love:

Thank you so much for taking the time to post these, Salem! I love it!!!

For 150 its a no brainer! Even for people who say they dont care its a nice feature and a wow factor when people enter the cabin and you show how sweet your Ultra Cheap Merc is inside and out! The higher end mercs do this already so dont tell me its cheesy and a ricer mod either.

haha well it's a option on the C class as well..
I do however think MB took some inspiration from ricers. Do a search on ebay and LED/neon lights have been around since the early 90's. Ricers (I use to be one) would spend tons of money just adding lights all over the place. I did with my first hand me down Nissan Stanza from my mom. I had blue LED's under the seats, under the foot wells and ambient blue LED dash lights. Also took apart the gauge cluster and swapped them to blue lights. Glowing emblems is another thing the ricer market had way before MB adopted it. I think part of MB's plan is to try and appeal to the younger or new generation hence all the fancy lights :)

My older Audi has lights in the door handles and the rear and front console and also under the doors and where your get sit. But never had the option to color change. Gotta love them leds!
Yoshi doesnt the newest s models have them to? I think they have had them for a year or two now. Or I may b dreaming that?

The current E class, CLS, GLK, GL, etc do not have the multicolor ambient lights

The new S class and C class does. The new S class has LED/neon lights up the wazooo. It's like a cocktail lounge or strip club in there. It also has a perfume scented AC.
