The non leather Recaro I want at $2250 is flat out not available at this time in the US ( found out at this forum they are standard on Australian CLA45s.)
The leather Recaro at $2250 + $1500 + mandatory Premium package $2200 = $5950. Too rich for my blood. This will make your $60k CLA45 at least another $3750 more expensive. Now you are officially at C63 AMG territory as a C63 Coupe with standard panoramic Roof, Premium package and metallic paint is at $63500.

Definitely will wait for non leather recaros... $6000 for seats is insane
811 is the standard seat with black leather and red stitching. Thought we were told it is $1500 just like all other leather choices.
The Recaro seats I am referring to is the 555 +651 option which I tried again today to order without success. How I would kill for those seats. These are the $2250 seats with MB Tex and DINAMICA insert ( ordering guide p.32.)
According to the ordering guide the 811 is the performance Recaro seats in real leather with black/red trim. Check the guide if you don't believe me. In addition, the dealer ordered his 45 "all the way" with the performance real leather black/red seats.
What I am saying is that it appears you can pay $2250 and get the 555-651 performance seats but in real, genuine leather . Why would you want MB-tex when you can have leather for a few hundred bucks more?

811 is the code for the black leather with the red cut stitching. That's a $1500 option along with the MB tex stitched dash and door inserts. 555 is the code for the Recaro AMG Performance seat and that's $2250. So the very lovely 555 seats with red cut leather ( 555 + 811) will run $2250 + 1500 = $3750. And to have it, you must order P01 Premium 1 Package which is another $2200. So if you already planned on ordering the Premium 1 package, then you are only paying $3750 for the red cut leather Recaro AMG Performance seats. Since I don't want the over price, mostly useless Premium Package, I can in theory order the 555 AMG seats with 651 MB Tex/DINAMICA insert for $2250. This, unfortunately, is not available at this time without leather. The MB Tex 555 AMG seats appears to be standard on all CLA45 except for North America and that may be why there are not enough to go around. Your dealer that ordered the 555 + 811 + P01 has added $2250 + $1500 + $2200 = $5950 to the price of his car. I thought about but decided against it. My order is still GREEN on the StarNet so I can still change my mind but I think not.

The Recaros cost 2300 for Canada I believe+the exclusive package. Also theres no delay which I know of since my cars expected delivery date is November 10th and I ordered the Performance seats.
555+811 is not $2250
in the order guide, its $2250 for mbtex recaro's - it wouldn't be the same for leather recaro's...
I am staring at the dealer invoice. It shows very clearly, beyond a shadow of a doubt, without any equivocation, that 555-811 is $2250. There is no other charge. I'm not sure how much clearer I can make that, guys. Perhaps this dealer got a good deal, or knew someone at the factory, or there is some other reason for this.

The notes read:
Leather Interior 811 must have 396pkg:
P39 - Exclusive Package
880 - IR Remote summer / open close on driver door
YO5 - red seat belts
There is no reference to the cost of this package

That would have been the very first option I check if it is only $2250 as well.
$2250 is the MB Tex - DINAMICA seats 555+651 that look almost identicle but not available at this time.
Doc1, if your dealer can get you 555 + 811 for $2250 without the P01, you should take it and run. But he would have to eat $3700...
im not even talking about 2250+p1 tho. or even the exclusive pack

I thought we sort of came to a conclusion ( ? DavidR) that 811 red cut is just another choice that costs $1500 on standard seats same as black 801 or brown or grey and $3750 on the AMG Performance seats. I thought it is reasonable to think it is the same price as you get nothing more other than the stitching and the hideous RED seatbelt. Red cut is what you get on the standard 651 including the red seat belt, red stitching ( no dash or door top ) on center arm rest, door pull and steering wheel.
And no P01 ? OK, then I will do the same and see what happens as well.
With the almost obligatory multimedia package for the back up camera, I am pushing up against 60k.
Add the 9.25% California sales tax plus license, I am looking at a $66k car...
But you are right. I really want the Recaro seats.
