I have placed the order for my CLA45 and was wondering if anyone can confirm that paddle shifters are available on both the standard and AMG Performance Steering Wheel. I opted to not get this add-on because the ordering guide only referred to it having: Alcantara Side Grips, Aluminum Shift Paddles, and Contrast stitching. I want to make sure my CLA does not show up without paddle shifters.

Thanks! This is exactly the information I was looking for. I was also worried that I couldn't find the option for bi-xenon headlights like the CLA250. I keep forgetting that the 45 has a lot of "extras" as standards.

If you look very closely at the steering wheel and dashboard photos in the "Interior Gallery" section in the Order Guide, you can see the tops of some small shift paddles on the standard wheel and much taller shift paddles on the optional performance steering wheel.

All CLA have them including the CLA250 as all CLAs in the US have the dual clutch system.
The AMG's optional steering wheel has longer, larger real aluminum shift paddles - see the order guide photos.

Don't know about the US, but here in The Netherlands CLA45 option 281 is EUR 550 without VAT (EUR 666 incl. VAT)
That's more than I thought it would be. I was hoping t costs no more than $350 USD here.

That said, it is a must have just have for me even though the difference from the standard flat bottom AMG steering wheel
id relatively minimum.

My dealer quoted me the price, I think it was 400$? I could be wrong but I could not justify the price.
I am guessing $395 but I may be naive...

Same wheel but the Alcantara is very cool and it is an AMG exclusive. And not to forget the large aluminum shift paddles. The standard are tiny black ones that functionally work the same.

But at $695, I am squirming...

I think you're going to be pretty close with that price.

Edit : if its really 400 were screwed here in Holland on the prices again !
You see my friend, that's how the economy works here. Sell everything cheap ( which is the case,) keep the taxes low ( which is the case,) and make money readily assessable at low rates ( which is the case.) The result : everyone has five flat screen TVs at home ( 50" LED for $499,) and four cars and we owe more money as individuals and as a nation than anyone else in the world. So far we are good on servicing our debts as a nation - just see the last five years - however, someday... But then again we have 12,000 thermonuclear warheads and more ICBMs than other countries have cars so go ahead, come collect your money :)

Sorry guys, I'm just not liking the look of the AMG Performance wheel. It's the look of the Alcantara side grip inserts that don't appeal to me. I'm good with the oversize aluminum shift paddles, but I'm going to save my $500 on that option. I'm going with the 811 Black red-cut Leather interior that will include the standard steering wheel that is dressed up with red stitching.as shown on page 26 of the Order Guide.

Probably the wise decision. I am a bit distressed at the high cost for relatively little change - double flat wheel, alcantara grip and larger aluminum shift paddle in lieu of the small plastic ones for $510 !

I have to get it just because it is an AMG exclusive but it is killing me.

well I am going with it... i am leasing the car and the options residualize... the $510 on a lease is about 9-10 bux a month.....

MSRP with dest: $48,375
650 – Cirrus White
H79 - Aluminum Trim
651 – Black MB-Tex/DINAMICA
U70 – Red Brake Calipers ($300)
U21 – AMG Performance Exhaust ($450)
P60 – AMG Night Styling ($750)
P01pkg – Premium 1 Package: $2,200
104 – Rear Spoiler ($300)
281 – AMG Performance Steering Wheel ($510)
Total Options: $4510
Total MSRP = $52,885
An excellent choice in keep the car lightly priced.

I skipped the premium package but ordered the heated seats along with the panoramic roof in lieu of the premium package.
I did not order the night style but added the blind spot assist. And no spoiler. Came in around $52300.
My car will lease out on a 36 months 12000 miles a year at $770 a month including tax and drive off of around $1800 ( no cap reduction) or 60 months finance at $520 a month with $30000 down or $720 a month with $20000 down. Haven't decided which way to go. Given the absence of discount and the mandatory $395 disposition fee at the end of the lease and most likely a new set of tires ( adds $ 40 a month to the lease effectively,) I am leaning towards financing.
