Your original wheels as is, looks better than painted all black. Diamond cut design stands out better.

I am 50:50 they both look nice in their own way.

I will probs refurb them all black when they eventually corrode as they have been done before so won't be able to diamond cut again!

Test fitted today to see which i prefer.

I think i prefer the black

For some reason in the side on shot they loom visually bigger compared to the diamond cut ones

So the replacement 2nd hand one i purchased is now cracked 🤣

So do i re-instate the buckled now black one and get the rest powdercoated black to match

Or do i attempt to get the polished one welded

Or do i buy an aftermarket set of 18's or do i buy an aftermarket set of 19's

🤣

I have thought about it for the last 2 days and i am no further forward

So i have made a decision.

Gloss black previously buckled one has been re-instated and the 3 remaining good ones are going gloss black to match.

Reasons for this decision.

The buckled one on the face is likely to be stronger than a welded cracked one.

I didnt want replica AMG ones with a sticker decal. Also i was unsure of cheap aftermarket wheel longevity.

So decision made. Will collect car on friday 😎

The cracked one i will possibly get done in a wacky colour get a glass top for it and it can be a coffee table. Lets face it, it was no good as a wheel 🤣

Personal preferences.... =)

Given that it's an 18" wheel, the black ones will look smaller , while the diamond cut ones will stand out more.

If the wheel was 19", I would go with the black wheels.

If you do get 19s some day
Get forged rims
Take quite a bit more beating
And you save at least 5-6lbs a corner
