Agreed, it looks gnarly.
Personally I'm going with White and at least the 18inch 5 star optional wheels...if I don't get the AMG Line.

I have to agree. The black multi-spoke rims look horrific on all models of the CLA. I don't believe that they really compliment the build of the car as they should. COntrary to that, the AMG five spoke star rims look awesome on the car.

moneyB, I'm with you all the way on this. YES indeed the black wheels are so awful looking on mountain grey. Mountain grey is no doubt a very nice colour on the CLA. Is a very subtle & discreet color. After that is silver, white & also black looks good on the CLA. IMHO. It would look much better with the normal silver wheels. The other option is the Carlsson's wheel which comes in matte titanium silver which matches mountain grey even better.

Can you guys be more specific with what Edition 1 you are talking about. (although I eventually caught on to which one you talking about)

Strictly no offence intended (if someone gets offended lol), but there are two. One for the CLA 45 and one for the CLA 250. And for some reason, it always seem like the CLA 250 Ed1 prospective/current owners love to call their car the CLA Edition 1 without referencing a specific model: 250.

It's either a 250 or 45. The Edition 1 is a cosmetic package and has no difference other than a trim.

I just find it confusing when I read posts. Especially with my Edition 1 has problems (engine, mechanics lol)

But back on topic, I personally don't mind the look although it would be better if they were 19s.

I absolutely disagree. Black E1 multi-spoke wheels are awesome.

The main exterior compliments with the ED1 "250" (just playing 2nastie) are the wheels, pano roof (when open) and the black trim instead of the silver. Night package I believe its called. Black rims are hit or miss when it comes to personal preference. I think if you can match your tint to a similar color that the rims and trim are; it turns out clean. But again...that's a personal preference. I've seen carbon fiber that makes the ride unique too. Colors that work with the black rims...mtn grey, white and black. in that order. I'm sure I can be proven otherwise though...

lol when ppl say ed1.. ppl have no idea exactly which one you are talking about.. the cla 45 ed 1 comes with the 19" wheels as stock.. and i think the 19" black with mountain grey looks great.. but then again.. we are talking about the cla 250 ed1 lol

Im picking up my mountain grey cla 45 edition 1 at the end of the month! Ill post some pictures and get some feed back from you guys!

I respectfully disagree with the "haters".

The black multi-spoke AMG rims on a Mountain Grey look good, especially if the owner takes the time & resources to apply an NSP type trim to the front lip, sideview mirrors and side skirts to compliment the rims.

I wonder how many of the haters secretly wished that the black multi spoke rims were available as an add-on for their respective builds... too bad it's only for Edition 1 and Canadian market for now.
