So i found this really nice fully loaded 2014 Mercedes cla 45 for only $22k and it seems like a really fun car based on the videos I’ve watched about it. I was wondering if it’s worth it or if I’m setting myself up for failure buying an amg with that many miles

a) Suggest that you pull a CarFax report, to check maintenance and accident history.
b) Check KBB and CarMax to check values for your area.

it depends if its had all the maintenance done. a mercedes dealer will tell you and/or look at the carfax. definitely get a PPI. and use the high mileage to talk down the price as much as possible, plus have about $4k in reserve for any potential hiccups.

Get oil samples from the motor and gearbox and send it out for analyses

I just purchased a 2014 CLA 250 with 79,950 miles so, im right there with you, bud. I purchased warranty via dealership though.

I had a Cla45 with 130000km bought brand new...don't but if you cannot get a maintenance plan from mercedes.

I had so many issues with mine after 100000...petrol pump, cylinder coils, vacuum system to name the least.
