M135i 0-60 in 4.5 seconds

A45 AMG 0-60 in 4.2 seconds

He also says the M135i has way better Michelin tires, and if the A45 had them it would be even quicker.

Also, the A45 is quicker on the track he tested them both on.

So now we have 2 tests of the A45 AMG....

4.1 and 4.2 seconds.... Mercedes CLAIMS 4.5 secs...

Boy I can't wait to get my 45 amg and can't wait till a tune is out... tune on this car is going to yield 3.8 0-60 or so... AMAZING.

I'm with you on this one, I'm extremely excited for my CLA45.
I'm quite happy with a 4.2 second car, I can't use most of that power in NYC.
Time to find some tracks near the tri-state area, any recommendations?

Englishtown/ATCO ...... in NJ... both very fast tracks and well prepped.

Also MIR in Maryland is 1 of the best tracks in the country..... many events at some of these places on the mb forums, corvetteforum, e90post, mpost, etc...

I have had a CLS63 AMG, SL 600, SL55, M3, M6, and a couple vettes, procharged z06, and regular C6. And also owned an STI (stage 2 as well).

Currently going to have this CLA45 AMG as my DD, and as soon as the 2015 corvette stingrays start 2nd year production (the 2014s will be out in around 2 months), I will have that as the weekend toy. Amazing the vette's GM time is 3.8 0-60, and it probably will do 3.6- from car mags (all car mags for c7 should be out soon)... and this thing is 4.5 and pulling 4.1-4.2s so far... tune this thing and you will see this thing get off the line better than the c7 because of the DCT and 4matic (awd)... simply amazing.

Thanks, and noted. I'm not sure when or how much tuning I will do on my CLA45 since it will be my first sporty car.
I am quite amazed with the C7's numbers. 460hp, 3.8 seconds 0-60, and estimated 30MPG...what?
The stingray is a nice toy, but I think MB put in more effort and more attention to detail for CLA45 design.

Proud owner of a E90 M3 which is a damn stout handling vehicle, I am quite pleased when Chris Harris suggested I shouldn't try to out handle the 45 on smaller B roads. 'As you are going to fall off ' said he.
That tells me my CLA45 is the real deal.

Great video! I've never seen one of his reviews before. I will definitely check for them in the future! Very informative and well balanced.

Best two quotes on the A45 though (which I will likely mangle) had to be "above the testicles it's very nice" and "[beep] [beep] this is fast."

I wonder whether the A45 he drove had the upgraded suspension. Either way, the more I see and read about the 45, the more I am convinced that the upgraded suspension is going to be too harsh for roads in the Northeast...especially with the 19" wheels.

Also, wow, I really hate the new front end on the 1 series.
