Audi is the leader in LED Daytime running lights, but Mercedes is really advancing with the new fiber optic LED tail lights.

The Fiber Optic LED Lights are gonna look bananas with nice tints. Check out my boys Brabus edition.

These Fiber Optic LED Tail lights are only with the Xenons package on CLA 250 :mblogoblack:

I have a 250 with those taillights, doesnt all cla have them??
I think these rear LED lights come with the Xenon headlamps option, regular and Bi-Xenon.
The LED tail lights on the CLA 250 look really sharp. When the lights are on you get the glow of the 2 outline rings as shown in the photo above. When you press on the brake or activate a turn signal, then the upper ring fills with the bright LED light. It's hard to explain, but the bright brake light LEDs are mounted in an angular style where you are not exactly seeing the individual LED cells. You see a rectangular pattern. There was a YouTube video from several months back where a CLA250 was spotted on the streets in Europe at night and a tail light video was captured. Link to video:

As for Audi, the first few years they starting using LED running lights, they looked very cool and innovative. Now it seems that they have gone to excess just because they can. A little bit over the top for me. The eyebrow LEDs over the front of the headlamps on the CLA250 look very nice and refined, just the right amount IMHO.

David, I agree, Audi was the leader in LED Running Lights, now look @ Lexus, and even look at the new Jeep Cherokee,
I am not a big fan of the LED lights in the KIA or Chrysler, I'm really diggin the daytime running lights on the new Tesla, did you ever see them? amazing car.
Diber, I haven't seen the Tesla LED treatment. I'll take your word for it. I pretty much keep my focus on mainstream brands. Anybody that has the misfortune of buying a CLA without the xenon headlamps and LED tails is going to be very disappointed.

Hart4cla, looks sweet, congrats! I cannot over emphasize, the BiXenon headlamps with LED tail lights are a MUST-MUST-MUST-HAVE feature. Once you've had factory installed xenon headlamps you can never go back to halogen.

You dont get standard AMG package in Uk or Germany, you have to choose that option and pay for it! Same as the rest of the world.
Diber, I'll make a point to look at the new S class. I'll be at my MB dealer on Wednesday. I like a nice clean look on the LED's. If 10 LED's are good and 20 LED's are better, then 100 LED's are absolutely NOT the best. I haven't seen MB go to excess on the LED's like Audi and a couple other manufacturers have done in the last couple years.
I have a question about the headlamps. I've seen a lot of CLA ads with a red halo around the eye of the headlamps. Which package does this come with, and how can I get it if mine doesn't have it.

Ordered a night black with the bi xenon package and much more. I think the red halos would make a striking difference to the look.
I should be receiving it by the end of the month.
in other threads, seems that the red round is for the ILS (intellligent light system)
in canada, the ILS isn't there, even with the bi-xenon package
What's the average life of these Bi-Xenon lamps? how much would it cost to replace? Something that I would like to know before getting this option...

If lasted about 7 years on my CLK500. The MB dealer quoted me about $200 to replace one. I then went to eBay and got the OEM one for about $25 and replaced it myself. Replacing it is not any harder than any other lamps.

That's all I wanted to hear. Thanks!!
I have sport package on mine and since its US spec it has red turn signals, except I need to have amber to comply with UK requirements (I live in the UK). Does anyone know how much a set of European tail lights would cost and if its a simple plug and play? I did this before with a 2011 Audi and it was simply remove the reds and attach the ambers.
PS. I know I hijacked this thread, but it seems the audience I wanna target for this topic is here. Thanks all!!!!
