Just orderd my black CLA 250 night black, i was considering the CLA 45 but it just doesn't look beneficial to dish out an extra 15K . The sport package is also an abundant price, I will have to get my 250 tuned by Piecha.

This is what the grille will look like. :)

Not beneficial to dish out extra 15k for the AMG? You get an extra 147hp and AWD standard. heh. Also by the time you get your car "tuned" you will be in it for much more. Also the potential from the AMG engine should be much higher since it has forged internals.

Its all just my opinion obviously. But I would say if you can get a car with better performance from the factory, it is better than buying a lower end car and getting it "tuned". Factory cars are much more reliable. The engineers at AMG are much more experienced and knowledgeable than people at an average tuning company.

Just my 2c! I mean no disrespect. Grats on the car. :)

You miss the point on tuning, it's fun to tune! It's like a hobby, you buy something for your car. You tune it, you tune it a bit more.
Eventually you might be spending another 10k, but it's your 'unique' car and not something which rolls out of a factory........

If you haven't done it, you won't know the fun of it :).

You got a point my mustang was fun to modify and it is unique but it was very expensive. ($20k+ expensive) I've "been there done that". Now its time to buy something nice and quick and good looking straight from the factory. Won't have to worry if something breaks on the drivetrain how expensive it will be, is it covered. Hell I had to "know someone" just to have Ford service it for an oil change!

werd ^ i 2nd that. i will probably spend the same amount tuning my 250 as buying a CLA 45
but the piecha kit looks bananas. notice the LED lights which the CLA 250 doesn't come with. they did away with the daytime tunning LED in the fog lights. they've implemented the LED into the headlights like the new A4. yaaaa dig??? :)

Rear valence looks like an afterthought. Top of the car has smooth flowing lines, while the bottom has bold sharp angular lines in all directions that scream "look down here".

Front valence looks well integrated though, with the rest of the car.

On the contrary, I have been modding cars since I was 18. Nothing will ever fit, function or preform like OEM quality parts. I have learned from my years of messing around that buying the better performance car from the factory is going to be the much better bet. Less hassles down the road....
Dont get me wrong I totally understand the appeal of being "unique" and all. Just not my cup of tea I suppose.

I do plan to mod my AMG down the road too however! Just want to wait some more time for other people to play with this new power plant.

Did you get it tuned in the states?? I've been trying to get the rear diffuser from them!
