Why hasnt this car shown up in the comparisons?
View attachment 1505

its has similar price, power and design. Its a 4 door coupe. it comes in manual!
Any1 would consider this car ?
I highly considered it when purchasing my GTI, but the one I test drove which came with R everything had some issues. There was a big delay in the acceleration. Now time to compare it to the CLA 250. Interior wise the Benz wins in my opinion. Just looks way nicer inside. Exterior wise the benz looks more luxurious and sporty like. So gotta give it hands down to the benz. Love the styling of the CC but its no CLA

Nope. It is very plain looking. I wouldn't drive that car.

The VW Passat-CC is a great platform, the fit/finish and quality/craftsmanship are of a higher price-segment. If anything, it's a down-market MB CLS analog more than a CLA "competitor" I'd say.

With that said, I have oft considered one over the past few years. My only reservation being typical VAG reliability/dependability. My only styling gripe was the rear fascia/taillights, which the current refresh/update has addressed now. Though, the front fascia/grille has been homogenized to match the USDM Passat & Jetta, both of which are noticeably more "American" than their European counterparts, in terms of design/engineering.

I respectfully disagree. It is a fantastic looking car. Go to Youtube and check out a V6 with quad exhaust. It will give the CLA a run for the money. And there is a lot of incentives in the CC.
My only concern is the end of cycle issue. The car came out in 2009 and a new one may be on the horizon.

I think the CC is a beautiful car although I do think the recent facelift (2012?) aligned the front end a little too closely to the Passat's more mundane design. The headlights on the previously version, for example, had more flair. And for a car that identifies itself as a four door coupe I think that's needed,

There are two CCs in our parking lot. I never gave them a second glance before because I thought they were Buicks.

I had a VW CC for a 2yr lease. It is a great all-around car, good at just about everything, not great at any one thing though. The CC's design was much more exciting about 3-4 years ago when I originally had mine, but its gotten a bit stale lately. As you probably already know, this was VW's 1st attempt at a 4-door coupe, basically an imitation CLS with a VW badge at less than half the price. The car is a great value for your money, but I wouldn't exactly put it up against the CLA. I think the CLA is in a different weight class, going up against the A3, 1 Series, and other entry level "luxury" models. Now that Mercedes has released their own version of a "baby CLS" Volkswagen's CC is somewhat in the shaddow now. I personally think the CC needs a redesign all-together, because the front and back-end refresh was not enough...but then again, that's just my opinion.

I sold my 2010 VW CC to get the CLA. I lived the CC. Really a good car. However, once I saw the CLA I really had to have it. I like the CLA much more than the CC. Only thing is, more features are standard on the CC. (Heated seats, satellite radio) still, CLA easily wins. Really it comes down to would you rather have a VW or a Mercedes?

Similarly, I don't think I ever looked twice at a CC in the parking lot or driving by. Although VW is known for its build quality among affordable cars, the CC lacks emotional appeal. I think the design is kind of derivative and devoid of visual drama. The CLA design is more dramatic. While some may say that the CLA is a smaller version of the CLS, I think it is more than that. The coupe concept works better (but not perfectly) than the CLS. The CLS was always too big to pull of the "four door coupe" thing. And the CC is just...well, it was just there--nothing to write home about IMHO.

I liked the CC when it first came out. However, the most recent refresh has a not so good looking front grill. I feel that it takes away from the beauty of the car.

I would have considered a CC, but the gas mileage was a big deterrent.

It has the same gas mileage as my G35x which is around 20 mpg with less power. Both cars are heavy.

Comparing the CC to the CLA is like comparing a grey cloudy day to a sunny one with blue skies. You can live with a cloudy day, but you would rather have the sunshine,

I considered a CC before I ordered the CLA. Mostly just because Truecar was providing a certificate for 5500+ below MSRP. However, the lack of technology features as well as the chrome strip down the sides and around the rear bumper killed it for me.
