Thoughts: Do you think you'd be able to strike a better deal if you wait till the car arrives? Do you think it will be sold out till January/February 2014... Debating whats the best way to go about this.

I'd recommend pre-ordering or putting down a deposit. I can almost guarantee that this car will sell fast once they hit the dealership lots. Additionally, I don't anticipate that most dealerships will have a large initial shipment come in anyway. I have pre-ordered for those sole reasons.

Once you put a deposit down, forget about getting any % off MSRP. The got you by the balls.

They car will be plenty in stock, they need it to sell and sell well in America. Seeing as there is 1 engine choice, unlike europe, I'm sure there will be plenty.

my local dealer has offered 500.00 off of MSRP. I asked for 1200.00 and she said no, should I haggle more to push for 750.00 off, or do you think 500.00 off MSRP is a decent deal being that it hasnt come out yet?

Also: Putting down a deposit this week, most likely, it is refundable...

Contrary to what you have mentioned; dealers are always compelled to offer a percentage off the MSRP even if a deposit is put down. Additionally, most deposits are refundable, so if they won't budge on the percentage of the MSRP, simply go to another dealership.

BTW Vanguard, I got all my info from MB USA!

I just spoke with the dealership here in Oklahoma City and they currently have 35 CLA's on order with various price ranges.
