Front Sway Bar - Easy Torx?

Has anyone here DIY replaced a CLA250 front sway bar? I installed new MOOG stabilizer links but it did not solve the front end thumping. I can move the sway bar with my hand - bushings must be cooked. Of course the good engineers at MB have dictated the only way to install new bushings is to replace the entire assembly, sway bar and all! If you have any experience with this I would greatly appreciate your tips and tricks. The biggest challenge appears to be breaking those Torx bolts loose - hard to access and will be harder to loosen. Thanks!
