Might as well create one of these if someone wants to take the initiative towards a possible/potential "group buy" for CLA buyers wanting a Fall 2013 delivery. There is power in numbers, as they say. Let's see if this works!
I can/will look into CenTex area dealers (there are 2 in Greater Austin area, etc). Obviously, other large(r) metros in Texas should be solicited as well: Dalla Metroplex & Northern Texas, Greater Houston & East Texas, San Antonio & South Texas, El Paso & West Texas.
Anyone in/around the area & surrounding states should show interest in such, if compelled. I will gladly travel 100, 250, 500 miles for the right deal. So, please take an interest & contact your dealer(s) for your & our benefit!
Whoever is interested to be a part of such, please chime'in. And if you got an MB dealer near you, please pursue such w/ them. I know there are a handful of prospective buyers already here in the Austin-area. I've visited Mercedes of Georgetown a few times for info/etc, they are looking at MSRP for the CLA w/ regards to pre-ordering a factory-build for fall delivery.
Please share any correspondence w/ dealer(s) and/or others you may have gained insight from, along w/ your own status towards acquiring a CLA (what/when/where preferably).
With all that said- I don't anticipate being able to get group-buy pricing at the two area dealers (Mercedes of Georgetown, Mercedes of Austin) as in-general import/premium dealers locally don't discount as much as those in other, large(r) metros. I hope there are others who can/will take charge. Thanks, in-advance...
