Daddy's pushing for an AMG, but this is for the missus. She doesn't like the Night styling package, which is what all the AMG pics we've seen seem to have optioned.

Unless, he's neither the Daddy nor the "missus" and, instead, he's the child of the Daddy. If s/he's the "missus" or someone else then I'm completely lost...but my money is him being the Daddy. :crazy:

Does anyone know of any AMG pics that aren't of the Night package, with standard AMG wheels and no black body trim? I looked through the pics section here as well as consulting Mr. Google, but have yet to see any thus far.

There's such little info on the US bound CLA right now, that this is incredibly odd. I mean the car is due to be released in 3-4 months and there's so much confusion and lack of info on the car.

Hi mC,

Most of the official CLA45 pics I've seen are of the white car with the carbon fiber accents on the exterior.

This is a pic of the CLA250 without those accents...

It has the AMG wheels and what looks to me like the front bumper so I'm guessing it has the AMG Sport Kit.

Hey mCLAren,

I was reading the original Press Release on the MBUSA site and one piece caught my eye in relation to your comment about the Night Package. On pg. 7, in the 2nd paragraph under "Unmistakable Design" it says, "Side sill panels with matte grey inserts catch they eye in the side view." And, further down in the paragraph they talk about the car's front diffuser with "matte titanium grey trim elements."

It sounds like the CLA45 might come standard with those grey trim pieces and maybe the Night Package upgrades them from matte grey to carbon fiber on the AMG version. Hey, that would be good news unless you were dead set on the gloss black look in the Night Package, right?

Thanks for spotting that Sue. I haven't directly asked yet, but I think she doesn't like the non-body color bits at all and would rather have everything body color. Which will be Jupiter Red according to The Boss (her).

This is her car (and my car by proxy on weekends when we're playing) so I want her to get exactly what she wants. She loves AMG power and sound, but will choose styling over power every time if forced to choose between the two.

To explain a bit, I've had nice cars my entire life and am almost to the point where it doesn't matter that much to me anymore. I drive a 2012 F-150 with a tuned 5.0 coyote V8 in it right now and love it. She's always had "good cars that weren't too expensive" like Honda Accords, and this time I told her we're going to get exactly what she wants with a soft cap of 60k. She still resists spending 60k on her own car though. In my mind a CLA45 is prime territory, but once again she has to like how it looks. A fairly basic Porsche Cayenne is in the running as well (prob 65k) but she seems to be really liking the CLA and willing to wait.
