I just hope I don't see these EVERYWHERE!

With the low starting price...I hope I don't see EVERYONE getting one..and then sitting in traffic with like 30 of them all around me. I had the first model year C300 and it was very awesome for a while...but then I began to see too many of them. You feel what I am saying? I will LOVE my new CLA, but I want to stand out......if that makes sense. :clacb:

I know that feeling, I'm a BMW320d driver!!
UK are only getting 900 this year so should not be too bad when mine arrives!!
(I've ordered Jup Red AMG as every dealer has the off white and most ordered the Mountain Grey.

get a CLA 45 AMG if you want to stand out.

the chance of you standing out in a a $29k ride is very small.
Just by reading this CLA forum and others . I see a massive amount of these cars in California and color white and in Florida. With A3 sedan coming and new BMW 2 series and 2015 C-Class next year and a full year review of the CLA it might taper off
I believe it will be like that with any new car that debuts on the market. Compare this notion to when the first iPhone came out; people were everywhere were trying to get their hands on one.
Good taste is best expressed by driving a classic car, and a rare one at that.....no copycats will trouble you then, and the car won't depreciate either.
I don't think you will stand out even in a 45 AMG.
After all there are only small differences between them and a base CLA. Not enough that the average person will even notice.

I suspect there will be quite a few of these around. The chance to get a M.B. for mid 30's will appeal to a lot of people.

Reminds me of a friend who got in early on the new Camaro. Thought he was really on to something exclusive. I said there is a V6 model. You'll soon see them everywhere.
Yup sure enough, you see them everywhere now.

Makes no difference to me really. If I was worried about standing out or have something different I would just keep the 911 I have now.
Buy one for yourself, enjoy it & have fun owning it. Appreciate the styling, the handling, features, and design. The mid-$30k's demographic for new vehicles is broad & never been larger in terms of individuals in the marketplace.

In a 45 AMG with the right options you would definitely stick out. The huge red calipers, matte black rims, black window trim, side skirt trim, front lip trim, black flips and quad exhaust tips. However the Cla 250 got one advantage on the 45 AMG.( They ain't got no diamonds HAHA)
Personally im getting the black multispoke amg rims imported. It will individualize my Polar Silver and make it stand out a little more compare to the other cars with the star 5 spoke rims, im not getting it for that reason though, getting it because i really like those rims. Do you don't
worry about the other people.

Here's pics to prove to you how the 45 AMG will stick out unlike a average cla 250.

Mehhh, whatever.

Those pics to me just prove my point.

There's probably not more than a couple of people in my whole block who could tell the difference between a Ford and Chevy, lol.
To a car enthusiast who bothers to join a forum, yeah, they look way different to you. To the average person they look the same.

Now even the average person could see something like this is very different, lol.

Anyway enough from me on this rather silly topic.
Buy the car because you like it, not because you think it will stand out.

There are more 911s and exotic cars around where I live than Peugeots. So if you want something unique, get an old Peugeot. ;)
If you drive/own a car, you'll notice the same car more often. It's all in the head ;)

How are you importing the black rims? I asked the AMG rep John Sands and he said that they won't "build it" with them. How much will it cost to import and is it easy to sell the factory rims that come on the car? Very interested.

common misconception - if you dont get the night package, the mirrors are the same, and lips and sideskirts are grey, and the window trim is chrome . look at this CLA45 AMG - looks kind of sad if you ask me. (no nite package!)

with the stock rims, the reg cla will look even more identical! (the stock cla45 rims are the split 5 spoke!)

Can't argue with that. :)
Well, I shall be painting my CLA 220 AMG Calipers in matching Jupe Red, just to finish it off!!

Yes, I know, I know......
I have to admit; the CLA 250 has a nice stance and look in white. I pre-ordered a polar silver CLA 250...
i switched my white order to somethin else after reading too much of this forum
