Standard media interface doesnt include iPhone 5 cable. You can buy adaptor. But Im using bluetooth and it works perfectly. No need any cable

Watch out tho. The drive kit plus is only compatable with the iPhone 4. This is a great system and I highly recommend it and when mb bring out an iPhone 5 drive kit I will defo be buying it.

It does include nav. The system is better than command tho. Other features include Facebook and twitter link, full access to your phones music library through the car controls, access to Internet radio, YouTube etc. The nav is better than Becker and Comand because it updates remotely through your phones data connection. I highly recommend it but like I said earlier, the current drive kit plus is only compatable with iPhone 4/4s. An iPhone 5 drive kit plus should be available before the end of the year.

ByTheWay: In Holland the price for a Drive Kit went up 200 euros in July to €900.

The iPhone 4 is connected via the usual port on the phone. The iPhone 5 has to be connected via a Bluetooth interface, so an update for the current kit won't work. A new drive kit would need to be installed or an adaptor of some sort. We wait and see.

The cla comes with a Becker map pilot connection as standard with the audio 20. It Becker nav cartridge is bought and simply plugged into a port in the glove compartment. Some countries may be offering the Becker as standard.

Yes. Wait for the latest drive kit. If u spend that much on the current kit then you will almost certainly have to at least buy an expensive adapter which will require fitting, or a completely new kit.

I spoke to the uk accessories trainer for mb and he told be the 30 pin adaptor doesn't work. The iPhone 5 uses Bluetooth to communicate more and the current drive kit isn't compatable.

Please note that the current Drive Kit Plus only works for the iPhone® 4 and 4S. We are working on a solution for the iPhone® 5 at full speed, since changes must be made to both the hardware and the software. The solution for the iPhone® 5 will be available around the end of the year. There will also be a solution for changing over to the iPhone® 5 for a large part of the Drive Kits Plus that are already installed for the iPhone® 4/4S. Further information on this topic will follow in due course.

My car is due for delivery in Januari. Maybe if I order the Drive Kit now, it will then be the updated kit?

with out the multimedia it does not have navigation. Your option with out the multimedia are the becker map pilot (which is really, really bad) or the drive kit plus for the iphone (the 5 should be out very soon)

The pre -wiring is 200 then the unit itself is roughly another 400 and as i said before it is really bad.
