Hey y’all, I just recently got the 2015 cla250 4matic and my key is not being detected in the car when I want to use the button start, it works sometimes and sometimes it doesn’t. I took it to the dealer ship and they said it’s the battery but I replaced it

Do you have a spare fob? If you do try with that one. I had same issue and it was the battery in the fob, I did have to change it twice as the first replacement battery was a dud.

Make sure the "new" replacement battery has sufficient charge in it. Transmittance energy for the signal is directly proportional to the amount of charge (or power) in the battery. If you put in a brand new fully charged reputable brand name battery (Energizer, Duracell), and still does not work, then it's probably the key Fob electronics being messed up. (That is assuming your spare key fob works).

but if both key fobs don't work, even with brand new batteries, then your car electronics is messed up. time to take it to the dealer.
