Does the edition one come with black rims? Can we get red painted brake calipers on the cla?
MBUSA will not be coming with the mb tex dinamica. Also do not paint the brake calipers red on the cla. You could get it done at a shop for like $200 but it is not worth it as the calipers on the Cla 250 are small and will not look nice colored, those are best just black. The 45 AMG has the big calipers which will look nice colored.Ok, but the only color option is grey right? I would prefer a white. I'm actually debating if I want the amg. Do you have any information about when the Mb-tex Dinamica recaro seat option? They are a 2200 option compared to the other leather recaros for 3750. In the us order guide I saw on this blog it says the mb-tex Dinamica recaro are not yet available. Do you know when that will change?
moneyB, I'm not sure where you're getting any of this stuff since it contradicts with the information in the order guide. Besides, why pay $200 to go through the hassle of having a shop paint your calipers if MB will give you "red calipers" from the factory for $300 and warranty the part?MBUSA will not be coming with the mb tex dinamica. A picture is worth a thousand words. I think when the sports package talks about bigger brakes its talking about that round circle thing in the middle not the calipers. Only on the 45 AMG can you get the big red amg brake calipers and it does make a huge difference with the look of the car. I heard somewhere that for someone to get the amg huge brake calipers on there car if it does not come from factory with them it is like a 6k upgrade.Thanks...sorry for the confusion...but, aren't the bigger brakes with MB logo part of the CLA sports package on the CLA? I seem to recall seeing that somewhere. Or do you think those are just the grey painted calipers with logo. They've got the red ones on the Edition One cars we've all been drooling over so I'd be surprised if red ones weren't available on the regular CLA, too.

That "round circle thing in the middle" is the rotor. The pics are very helpful! Thanks for posting them. Both of the pics you attached have drilled rotors (the drilling aids cooling and stopping so that they don't fade/overheat as quickly) but, you're right, the grey calipers on the CLA in the top shot are definitely smaller than the red calipers on the AMG (in the bottom picture). I do think the smaller calipers would look good if they were painted red but I agree with your earlier comment on having a shop paint or powder coat them. I painted the OE calipers on my TT years ago. They weren't painted from the factory so they didn't look as nice in stock form as the grey ones on the Sports Package (top shot). But they did look much better with a few coats of Pep Boys' rattle can caliper paint and ring stickers.A picture is worth a thousand words.
