According to the second hand news from Automotive News via Autoblog, Mercedes is considering a Mexican plant for the USDM Mercedes Benz CLA. They are considering the move from Hungary to Mexico to insulate themselves from currency fluctuations. The European economy is still a pretty fragile thing, so they may be on to something.
How do you guys feel about the potential for your CLA to be manufactured in a joint-venture factory with Nissan?
Do you think that a Mexican Plant is just as good as any other plant around the world? Do you think that they should be producing your car in the Fatherland? Do you care at all because it can be made where ever, and it still falls under the same factory warranty whether it is made in Hungary, Taiwan, Germany, the US, or Canada?
Chime in to let us know.
