These are great...thanks! Where did you take them? Mine is ordered, same color but with Ash MB Tex interior, but isn't scheduled to arrive until November.

At Barrier Motors, Bellevue WA. I've ordered mine there and they sent me a text once they got this car. This car is on display for a few days, and i used this opportunity to see the car. I've pre-ordered Edition 1 (same color, special black interior) and as it currently being shipped I wanted to see the color in person before taking a delivery. BTW -- the cars will be delivered only after official launch date (rumors are it is Sep 23rd), even if they are arriving to states before.

Mountain gray is nice. I wasn't sure about it before I saw the real car, but now I am sure it is very good. Maybe only Cirrus white come close, but I think every second CLA will be white :)

Alex G, thanks for the pics. I'm still ravin' over all of them.
I have ordered my CLA45 with the twin five spoke wheels just like the Sport package and I am soooo glad they are not the two tone variety we saw from our European friends. It is a personal taste issue but I like my wheels painted ONE color ( silver ) and NEVER chromed. Thanks Alex for the pictures !

You very welcome. I also prefer single color, but I like it dark. Glad my Edition 1 will have black paint on them :)

That's why I really want to go with something different. My guess is that there are going to be A LOT of white CLA250s outfitted with the Sports Package around here and they're going to look an awful lot like the white CLA45s.

My guess is that Silver and Grey are going to round out the top 3 colors. I really don't want another grey car and I'm not in love with the Mountain Grey pictures I've seen. The Mountain Grey cars are beautiful but there's something about the color that hasn't grabbed me. Maybe it will in person or maybe I'm fighting it too much because I badly want something different. Silver is just too close. I've seen some really nice pictures of the CLA in Jupiter Red and some not so great ones. I'd really like to see it in person so that I can judge for myself. I've always had a thing for red cars that are the right red. Unfortunately, there are a lot of bad reds out there. For now, I'm cautiously sticking with it...I think. Patagonia Red is nice but the price isn't. I'm sure there's something special about it that justifies the premium but I don't see it in the pictures.

I am in complete agreement about needing a color not everyone has. I am having recurrent nightmare of trying to open someone else's CLA with my remote thinking it was my car...
I am really looking forward to seeing the colors in person. There may be another color I haven't considered.
RED, by the way, is always an interesting color. It does attract cops and the red caliper won't stand out anymore. The RED Corvette C7 in this month's Car & Driver looks so good and it starts at only $52k !
If I could get away with another two door I would seriously consider the C7. It looks amazing.

The red calipers may mot have the same visual impact on a red CLA as they would on another color car but I think it will still stand out more than silver. If Jupiter Red looks like it is represented on the AMG website it will look amazing (to me, at least).

I think you've said in the past that you're not enamored by the silver accents but that's a common theme on all of the 45s and the Night Package can always change that up. My concern with Jupiter Red is that it has too much yellow and will come off orangey in natural light and, even if it doesn't, the color might not be flattering on the CLA. Some colors have the ability to...cheapen (for lack of a better word)...a car. I'm not sure if that applies to Jupiter Red or not which is why I really want to see it in person.

P.S. Sorry about changing the direction of the discussion. Now back to your regularly scheduled programming...Mountain Grey, back to you. :)

I think you are right about orange in the red. Jupiter to me is an orange planet. If that red has orange in it, it wouldn't be good. That's why you have to see it in person under all lighting conditions.
Red also may be a harder color for resale if that means anything. I am curious now about the purple and universe blue. I used to laugh about those colors, but I am at least willing to give them a look.
The bad thing about the forum is that it gives you so much information it is making a firm ordering decision difficult. I bet even after you have seen the colors and made up your mind on an order, you
will still be periodically second guessing your decision. That's why I rarely order a car. I would just go with my gut feeling right or wrong and I haven't gotten too wrong yet.
So Eric, same price - A Red C7 or CLA45. which ???

from all what i can see, Mountain Grey looks very similar to Steel Grey Metallic. If thats the case, then the color is wonderful. Steel Grey looks good all the time, no regrets on the purchase of my dad's C250 which is Steel Grey. It looks great outside as well, and even on cloudy days and at dusk as well. I think the color looks even better on the E class :).

Totally agree with steel grey being a great color. I would have ZERO concern ordering that.
Mountain grey, however, appears on many photos taken outdoors to be darker and not as pretty.
I just don't understand why Mercedes want to tinker with a good thing. Like in the 80's, you have one grey - Anthracite and that was it. Now we have six shades of grey and four shades of white !!!
About Jupiter red, it is not orange, I've seen it on an A-class and on a B-class. Actualy it is darker red than the other germans are using for the A3 and VW Golf:
