Any idea how long it may sit there and time required to cross the Atlantic?

Ouch, I'm a little concerned now as my car was built 1 Aug 13 and has yet to be assigned to a ship. Hopefully it will arrive by 23 Sep 13. :disappointed:

I even asked the rep at my dealer who advised me that all we can do is wait at this point.

I guess I'll just keep harassing him until he can provide me with a better answer.

The salesperson said that my car will be at launch date, but I am sceptic until I see it on ship in the sea and shipping company have estimation sometime before mid Sep...

Hopefully, this is the same notion for me. I have faith in the MB dealership that I am working with, they are pretty reputable.
To eastern Canada from Bremerhaven is typically under 2 weeks.

I don't think it really matters how long it takes to ship. I was informed by my dealer the cars will not be delivered before official release date. The cars will be built and then parked either at the factory, at the European ports or North America ports ( likely all three.) So for the CLA250, its September 23 or later. My 45 has build date of August 22. It will be ready by mid September but it will be parked at some lot, sunbaked, rained on for two months before someone puts a battery on it and move it to a truck. Release date is some time in November...

+1 got exactly the same info from my dealer. In my case (I am from WA) even if the car does arrive to US before Sep 23rd it will be parked in MB center in LA before Sep 23 (or actually few days before it) and then it will be loaded on track and delivered to dealership and then to me.
Alex, my sales rep told me my car is at the port. He thinks it will be here for the 9/23 release or maybe a week later. I'm just glad its been manufactured. I have a sport model with the much discussed pano roof.

I think we were all tracking that the car will not be able to be released until or after 23 Sep. Our prime talk was about the vehicle being delivered to the MB dealership in which it was ordered thru by (before or after) that date (23 Sep). Additionally, each dealership has their own source thru which they obtain information so I would only take the word of my dealership.

Make sure once your car is built you get the VIN number and then head here to track your baby along the water OFFICIAL - Official: 2013 Mercedes-Benz A-Class | Page 106 | German Car Forum

My local dealership told me they will be getting two CLAs for demo purposes around Sept 15, roughly a week before official release of the vehicle.

This link is good for tracking the cars to east cost, but seems not working for west coast ports (LA, SF, SD). Any way to track vehicles on that line?
