My dealer just phoned and said that my CLA250 has been rejected because of a lack of compenents needed to build it to my specifications. I find it very hard to believe. I do have the Sport package, but I don't have leather, or the Panoramic roof. I'm not sure what they would be lacking? I just feel that something doesn't jive.

They have 4 scheduled to come in before the end of the year, and I got one of them....Well, I guess not. Now they have caused me to panic and start looking at other brands again.

Where exactly are you ? Four CLA250 before the end of the year is insane. My two local dealerships are 10 miles apart and they each are getting at least 15 the first shipment and 30 the next month.
There are 320 +/- MB dealerships in the country. if they plan on selling 100000 CLA250 per year ( same # as the 3 series BMW,) each dealership should average 300 cars a year or 25 a month. Even at half of that, each dealership should get 10-12 CLA a month. To have 4 cars the rest of the year - Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec is ONE car a month. No way.

It's unthinkable that there is a lack of component when 90% of the orders are yet to be delivered. Whatever reason it shouldn't be lead to cancellation of order. Definitely a lie.

jeff, my dealer told me that he wouldn't realyl build my car without the pano, the dealers want to be assured you will buy the car. because most people dont want a mercedes benz with a pano sunroof especially florida, california... yaa dig ?

Talked to my dealer today he said that demand got the best of supply and some orders made after a certain date won't make it. Sorry to hear about yours.

The dealer you spoke to is not telling you facts. Mercedes will sell almost that many CLA45s, let alone CLA250s. 10000 cars is 2-3 cars a month per dealership in the US.
I have a StarNet screen shot from a dealer friend of mine. I can't show it as it has the name of the dealership on it but it has 15 CLA250s all completed or being completed ( last one has build date of August 1st decade ) all probably coming in September. There may indeed be supply issues. So I am not sure exactly how many CLA250s Mercedes is going to end up importing into the US from Hungary. I am almost certain it will be north of 10000. A lot north of 10000.
