Hi fellow friends.
I purchased a used 2015 cla250. Upon receiving the car for two weeks, I noticed there were clicking sounds whenever I made a left turn. Had the car lifted up and noticed it was caused by a crack on the steering rack. So I spent $1800 including labor and refurbished parts to get a new steering rack. The car was sent to only did a front alignment and after that, I noticed instantly the steering strength feels different when turning left and right. However, the car is running ok. But this time we noticed a small bent on the inside of the left front rim. And the tire pressure was strange after I drove a 200 miles highway round trip. I had to putt in some air on the front left rim. What should I do now to solve the issue?
Concerns:
1. Small bent on the inside of the left front rim. Should I replace it or har it repaired? Should I use factory oem rim or looking at eBay refurbished or replica.
2. Could the new steering rack still has any problem( When I lift the car, turning left and right feels the same and smooth)
3. Could it be the alignment issue? I highly doubt that there are any mechanical problems with the new steering rack.
4. Should I seek the mechanic shop who helped me replace the steering rack responsible for this.
I knew I made a terrible purchase on this specific cla please bear with me. I really wanted to figure all things out
Thanks
