Hi, I've never owned a Mercedes before but the new CLA has caught my eye. I was close to picking up a C63AMG a few years back but instead went with a Lexus ISF.

Can't wait to learn more about this vehicle!

Yea, the CLA really caught my eye this week. Before, I wouldn't even have given Mercedes a second look.

I can't figure out the Mercedes brand. I know in California both young and older people drive them. But here in Connecticut it's mostly just older people (and inner city Bridgeport & Hartford crack-head gangbangers). It's viewed as the German equivalent to Lincoln. It's just weird to see somebody younger than 55 years old driving a Mercedes when I visit California. Funny how brand perceptions vary from state to state.

But aw heck, I like the CLA design and am now considering one. I was checking out a CLS at a dealership today and that thing looks too much like a bloated land yacht. I think the CLA size and proportions are just right.

I grew up in a grungy steel/oil town in northwest Indiana. All I saw growing up were Fords, Chevy's, and Chryslers. I remember my father having a Dodge/Chrysler that was like a house boat big and the transmission gears were buttons on the dashboard. I saw a MB SLC300 in a magazine in the grocery store back in 1968 and I was hooked every since. Where I live now, you see luxury brands for the most part. I love my SLK350 b/c it is different and not many folks drive one. I just wonder if the CLA will become so popular that its ownership becomes tantamount to owning a Chevy or Ford again because of the low entry price point.

I/myself will be new-to-MB as well w/ this CLA acquisition in the fall, assuming all goes as planned.

There have been some Benzes in the household & family in the past, namely '80s 300SD, 190E, 380SL.

Only other MB I have wanted has been the '06-'11 CLS, in-particular the '07+ CLS550 & CLS63.

Put money down on a CLA yesterday. I'm not going to miss owning this stunner! I've driven standard transmission for 30 years, so going clutchless will be weird, to say the least. I've never owned a MB before . . . quite frankly, I can't see spending so much for a car. But this is perfect! I'm planning on adding all of the bells and whistles, which brings it substantially above the $30,000 starting price. Still a bargin for the great look and brand!
