Hey everyone
I was putting on a missing shield under the car. And noticed a small amount of oil at turbo air cooler piping. I work on trucks and don't think there should be any oil there. It's seeping past the area where air pipe connects to turbo. Is this normal or what?

Welcome to turbogvng :))
I think every turbocharger leaks oil through there. I know, it's not 'normal' at all but I havent heard anyone saying that's hella of a problem. You complete a little from time to time and enjoy that little snail.
I've changed the feed lines, the silicon hose, everything... same thing happening, keeps leaking but nothing major tho.

i usually superclean the affected area then track it in daily use to at least try to locate the source if nebulous
if obvious i suggest removing the part closest to the source and go from there … oil leaks never end well
eg if that turbo siezes it wont be pretty … especially in congested hi speed traffic

I will let u guys know what the dealer says. I call it a issue. Or the turbo is drawing oil from somewhere. And pushing it thru the intake. I would definitely fix it. But it's under Warranty. So I have to be patient. 🙄
Update 5 days later on the small oil leak. Says that's pretty much normal. A little Oil on the pressure side of turbo. Hmmmm. They replaced the pipe. I will be watching it. They said I still have a pretty good amount of warranty left. Whatever that means lol. They also said they replaced an axle(@ 36k) said it was popping on turns. I don't think so. Oh well let them change it. And a software update for trans. So there u have it. Took it there Sat and gonna finish it today.
