Problem with USB cable connectivity

I have a CLA 200 from 2018, I want to enable android auto but I encountered the following problem:
The connected device cannot be activated.
Please check device compatibility, whether the correct USB port is used and the settings on your device.
My phone is Samsung Galaxy S9+ with android 10 which has android auto integrated. I mention that I tried with a newer phone and the same result.
I tried with multiple cables but I got the same error.
Has anyone ever encountered this problem?
