Once the CLA are out, go to Los Angeles.
Renting a CLA won't be that hard. You can rent from Porsches to Ferraris to Rolls Royce in Los Angeles-easy.
Here in northern California, some company is advertising a Ferrari 430 for $1500 a day.
Once the CLA's are available, it will probably go for no more than a C-class - like $100-120 a day + mileage.

My friend got married in SoCal, the OC-area. He rented an F430 spider for a day (I think). That's nuts if that's what he (likely) spent!

I know Hertz used to have Ford's Premier Auto Group offerings, meaning Lincoln, Jaguar, Volvo, and even Aston Martin.
