Hi guys,

I have a contact at the Fletcher Jones in Newport, a friend of a friend kind of thing. I saw a couple of group buy threads and it seems I was too late to the party. I would like to start a new group and see what kind of deal we can get. Let me know if you are interested.

Im down. What kind of deals can we get? Has the CLA arrived in the greater LA area showrooms? Im in DTLA. I kinda want to test drive it, cause Im apprehensive about the FWD. I might go in for C if it doesnt ride well.

I'm in too. I already placed a zero deposit (CLA45) at Fletcher but can always modify that to be included in the group! Thx

How would this work, since most (if not all) would have different builds?

Did you put your order in through fletcher jones yet? Also who is your contact as I have connections with that dealership as well.

You must know someone to get a $0 deposit to order the car there

Actually I was a walk in to Fletcher. I placed an order for my CLA45 at MBLN and ordered cosmos black / nut brown leather interior. I happened to be in the Newport area and asked if I could see a similar car with the same color combination. Shawn McPeck was the salesperson who helped me and he was the unofficial "CLA guy". He was professional and very helpful- based on this far superior service I'll stay away from MBLN if I can. I can elaborate more if anyone is interested but I'd rather not hi-jack the tread. Does anyone know if I can move my order from one dealership to another?

No, you cannot. You can ask the new guy what number in line you would be at the better dealership. (And then trust him not to lie - - ;>)

I'm getting quoted a $1000 refundable deposit. Trying to keep my options open since my guy at MB Anaheim left...damn. Any recommendations?

I put down the 1,000. Not a huge deal if they will have the car you like.

I don't think you transfer your order to another dealership as the order you placed goes into that dealerships allocation of vehicles assuming everything has been finalized by the dealerships inventory manager. Question, what build did you do?

Dealers won't do that. They won't even trade cars.

I'm very interested as well and have no issues with the 1,000 holding fee.
